Using Library Research Guides
(1) The Library has created numerous guides to help you with your research. To get to these guides, click “Research Guides” on the right hand side of the library webpage http://library.sccsc.edu.
(2) These guides are organized by broad alphabetical subject links at the top of the page. These subjects are then broken down into specific links assigned by title.
(3) To view a guide, click on its title. In this example we are going to look at the “Finding a Job” guide under the heading "Business and Statistics."
(4) The top of the guide gives a list of books and, in this case, videos, on the topic that you can find in the SCC Central Library.
(5)
The guide also has links to the
library catalog and library article databases. You will see some
suggested subject terms to use when searching the library catalog.
Also included on the research guide are links to evaluated websites that
will provide additional information for your topic.
