Electronic Books

(1) To find electronic books click the "Electronic Books" link found on the right hand side of the library webpage http://library.sccsc.edu under the heading Books, Videos...

(3) Ebooks will let you search by “Keyword,” “Title,” “Author” and “Full Text.”  Selecting the  “Full Text” radio button allows you to search every single page of the 40,000+ books.  

Here we are doing a full text search for job interviews. Putting “job interviews” in quotation marks tells Ebooks to search this as a phrase (i.e. only find items that have the word “job” right by the word “interviews.”)  Click on “Search” to enter the search

(4) A list of the books that fit your search are displayed. Clicking on the “Show Details” link will give you further information about the book. To get to the book itself, click on “View this eBook."

(5) The book will appear on the right side of the screen. Clicking on “Previous” or “Next” turns the page. The table of contents appears on the left side of the page

(1) To find electronic encyclopedias click the "Electronic Books" link found on the right hand side of the library webpage http://library.sccsc.edu under the heading Books, Videos..

(4) The results appear with articles from the Encyclopedia Britannica, a student encyclopedia, and the Internet.  Clinking on a title will take you to the article or web site.

(5) To print the article, click on “Print this Article,” located at the top of the article. You can also email the article to yourself.
