catheter

A device used to evacuate or inject fluids.

drain

A device used to drain fluids from a body cavity, when a lot of drainage is expected.

flatus

Air or gas in the intestine that is passed through the rectum.

gastrostomy

Procedure where an opening is created into the stomach through the abdominal wall in order to feed a patient.  A mushroom catheter or other tube is inserted into the incision.
