Loan Policy

The policy of SCILS is not to loan items informally; all interlibrary loan requests should go through the proper OCLC or PASCAL channels.
When receiving ILL or PASCAL items from other SCILS schools, DO NOT CHECK out using the item’s barcode because it causes problems for the loaning school. If the items are checked out in Sirsi Workflows, it has to be done with dummy barcodes.
Follow all PASCAL policies listed in the Memorandum of Understanding(MOU) for PASCAL loans.
Follow the Reference and User Association (RUSA) Guidelines for all interlibrary loan transactions. Found at:
