What is "PASCAL Delivers"?

PASCAL Delivers is South Carolina's virtual academic library, and SCC is a member.  PASCAL Delivers enables students and faculty at South Carolina’s colleges and universities to request books from any academic library in the state, receiving those books at their home institution in just a few business days.  Library users search the PASCAL Delivers catalog, locate books in any member library, and submit an electronic request.

Who can borrow books using PASCAL Delivers?

Current students, faculty, and staff at Spartanburg Community College at all campuses can use PASCAL Delivers.  Patrons must be “in good standing” at the SCC Library in order to use the service.

How do I use PASCAL Delivers?

The PASCAL Delivers catalog is available through SCC Library’s Online Catalog.  If you do not find what you are looking for after searching SCC Library’s Online Catalog, click on the PASCAL Delivers icon:

• In the catalog search field, enter your search term(s). You can search by title, author, keyword, subject, or call number.

• Once you’ve located the book you are looking for, click on the “placerequest” link.

• Select “Spartanburg Community College” from the list of colleges. You will be asked for a name and library ID. Your library ID is 003994 + the 7 digit college ID found on the back of your ID card.

• Patrons are notified via telephone when requested items arrive at SCC.

• Items can be picked up at any SCC campus.'

How can I check the status of my PASCAL Deliver request?

Use this link to My PASCAL Delivers. Select Spartanburg Community College from the drop down menu. Enter your username and library ID (see details above) to check the status of your request.  

How long can I keep a book from PASCAL Delivers?

The check-out period is six weeks, with no renewals.

Can I use PASCAL Delivers to get articles, videos, or items other than books?

At this time, PASCAL Delivers is only for books.

What does PASCAL Delivers cost?

The PASCAL Delivers service is free to eligible borrowers.
