1985-1993

Library attendance, circulation, collection size and bibliographic instruction classes continued to grow as the student population of the college grew.

The library sponsored special events and activities including special displays for Black History Month and Women's History Month.

Special display located in the STC Library.

This time period also saw the increased use of technology in the library. Students could check out a walkman and take a self guided tour of the library. The Library had its first pc, an IBM XT, ca. 1990-92, for Interlibrary Loan through OCLC via a dialup connection with CompuServe and a dial-up connection to the State Library.

The coming explosion in computer technology over the next few years would give students new ways to obtain information.
