How Do I Find...?
You have several places you can look for a magazine or journal article here at the SCC Library. First, look in Gale Databases.
If you need an article in the industrial or engineering area, you might also want to look under Career & Technical Education.
If you need an article on current issues, you might want to look under SIRS or Issues and Controversies.
Look in Gale Database Custom Newspapers.
SIRS and Issues and Controversies also contain newspaper articles.
Look in UNICORN, the library catalog. You can search by subject, author or title.
Also, try eBooks, a database of full-text books online.
Look in UNICORN, the library catalog. Select Power Search. Enter your search term and then limit your search to videos by selecting the drop down menu labeled "type."
Look in UNICORN, the library catalog. You can search by the title of the magazine.
If you're using Gale Databases to find articles, the little magazine icon that you can click on lets you know if we own a particular magazine or journal.
You'll need your SCC ID. Community Patrons will need a picture ID . For more details, click here.
Normally, students and community loan patrons can keep books for 2 weeks. Faculty & staff can keep them for a semester. Videos can be kept by students for 3 days; for faculty & staff, 2 weeks. For more details, click here.
