Sample reference to a statute in federal code: Indian Health Professional Personnel. 25 U.S.C.S § 1616e (2007). Sample reference to a statute in state code: Nurse Practice Act, S.C. Code § 33-5-1365 (2006). Explanation: This South Carolina act can be found between sections 5 and 1365 of chapter 33 of the 2006 edition of the South Carolina State Code.
