ENG 102 Hamlet Article
Summary |
A good place to start looking for articles to summarize (particularly scholarly journals and book articles) is the library’s literary criticism resources page: http://library.sccsc.edu/literary_criticism_resources.htm
Expanded Academic and Academic Search Premier are good resources. In both of these databases there is a way to either limit to scholarly articles or a tab or link you can click on to get to the academic journals—that way you can bypass magazine and newspaper articles. You can also do a title search in Literature Reference Center for Hamlet.
Another good resource is our reference set: Shakespeare Criticism Ref. PR 2965 .S43. Use the cumulative topic index located at the end of each volume to find articles on Hamlet. Volume 21 is devoted exclusively to Hamlet. Shakespeare Criticism has article selections—but many of these are of a substantial enough length that they would work for an article summary.
